The story behind it

This song came from a revelation.

Every night I ended my prayer the same way. God, bless me so I can be a blessing to others. Then I hit a season where everybody was pulling on me. Somebody needed advice. Somebody needed a shoulder. Somebody needed money. Somebody needed help. I was overwhelmed, but I answered the call every time. One night I prayed and asked God why this burden was on me.

He said, "You asked me to make you a blessing. And I did."

That sat with me. That followed me home and unpacked with me. Because when I looked back, I never lacked in any of it. When they called, I had the advice. I had the ear. I had the means. I had the energy. It wasn't a burden, it was Psalm 23. My cup runneth over. God was overflowing me so I could pour into others.

That's where this song was formed. He said it, I'm on it, I'm gone. He speaks, I move. And the pen overflowed too. When He fills you up, even the pen runs over.

The cup keeps running over for the ones who move when He speaks. I know who's pourin.
