GOD MODE

A song by K.B.W

BEHIND THE SONG

The story behind it.

God Mode sounds like the setting where you flip on invincibility and walk through the level untouched. That's not this. Look at the verses. The Devil is in every one of them. He moves, he tries, he wrestles, he gets desperate. Nothing in this song says he stopped showing up.

What changed is who's operating.

I took a lot of losses and thought they were just losses. They weren't. Every one of them was training. Every fall put me higher than where I fell from. You can't see that while it's happening. You see it looking back, and then you realize He was building something the whole time you thought you were losing.

So when I say I'm operating different, I'm not saying nothing can touch me. I'm saying I'm not the one running it.

That's the mode. God in control.

The lyrics Written by K.B.W

Intro

They counted me out, thought the story was over
But I had that Holy access, Spirit on my shoulder
Devil made his move thinking God was a no-show
Now I'm operating different - call it GOD MODE.

Verse 1

Spirit got me wired in, never tired when the fire come
Higher than the spire, son, desire what the Father done
Devil tried to level some pressure on my mental, but
Settled in the rebel One, never let the Devil run
Faith is my foundation, patient with the navigation
Ancient text, no hesitation, statement from the congregation
Armor got me reinforced, water mixed with Holy Force
Walking like I know the course, talking to the Highest Source
Blood of Christ, my coverage, nothing getting under it
Struggling to smother it, Devil steady wondering
Anointed, stay appointed, disappointing to the enemy
Pointing to the covenant, flowing in the remedy

God Mode

Verse 2

Devil move in shadows, but I battle with the manual
Fathom every angle, while I'm standing on the panel, yo
Speaking life is lethal, see the sequel to the people grow
Reaching for the steeple, though, believing what the Teacher spoke
Blood is my protection, checking every section, no infection in my blessing
Resurrecting old connections to the heaven-sent Message that I'm spreading
Never let 'em edit what was etched into my Testament, intelligence, the elegance of evidence
New creation, 2.0, the union of the movement, bro
Ruling with the truth I know, foolish if you choose to go
Against the One who set me free, dressed me in His weaponry
Blessed to be His legacy, pressing toward my destiny

Bridge

He rose, I rose - the code was broke, the stone was rolled
He glows, I glow, His name I spoke, the game is closed

Verse 3

Devil tried to wrestle but he settled for a technical
Federal the level that we're pedaling, it's medical
Radical, the chapel full of capital,
I'm after the Actual, factual, brackets full of miracles
G-O-D, the mode I'm in, the code I hold within
Soul is sowed to Him, bold enough to go again
Scrolls I'm told to pen, roll with soldiers, friends
Strolling in the golden wind, glowing till the story ends
Spirit got the method, Devil getting desperate
Desperate

Every loss was training.
Every fall was elevation.
Now I'm not surviving...
I'm thriving in GOD MODE.

THE STORY OF K.B.W

The pen came back.
The purpose changed.

I didn't write anything for over a decade. I had stepped away from music because I could no longer support how my words were being used.

“I Got the Ghost” started with a hook. That opened the door to writing again, this time with God as the foundation.

I'm a father. I'm still learning. The music comes from faith, struggle, growth, and conviction. Every song is an opportunity to point someone toward Christ.

ON THE RECORD / ABOUT THE MUSIC

Every lyric is written by me. Every story, idea, message, and meaning comes from me.

I use AI as part of the production process, including the vocals. Technology allowed me to return to music without becoming something I've never wanted to be.

The technology is part of the process.
The testimony is mine.
